Ghanaian Afro-R&B sensation Gyakie has released “Unconditional,” her second single of the year, which dropped today. The track arrives via Flip The Music and Sony Music West Africa, continuing the momentum from her recent viral hit, “Sankofa.”

Produced by Afrolektra, “Unconditional” marries Afro-fusion rhythms with R&B vocals and explores themes of love, presence, and emotional vulnerability. The track features upbeat percussion and lyrical pleas for affection. In a statement, the singer described the song as “a celebration of deep, fearless love wrapped in rhythm and groove. It’s about presence, vulnerability, and truth, the kind of love that doesn’t ask for anything but feeling.”

This release serves as a bridge to her highly anticipated debut album, titled After Midnight. The project, which will be formally announced in early August, promises to explore themes of love and identity with honesty and elegance. Following the significant success of “Sankofa,” which topped radio charts in Ghana and gained massive traction on TikTok, “Unconditional” signals the next chapter for one of Africa’s standout voices, who was also recently featured on the cover of Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30 issue.
