The first New Music Friday of the last month of the year delivers a strong variety of releases both at home and abroad, as artists set their eyes on defining the sounds of the imminent holiday season. Globally, Lil Baby dominates the trend table with his album The Leaks, his second of the year following WHAM in January. 

The Afrobeats scene takes a new gear, with legend ID Cabasa releasing a defining, feature-stacked album Unfinished Business, while Shalipopi looks to consolidate an eventful year with his third studio album Auracle. Helmed by the “Laho’’ series, Auracle is further bolstered by a wide range of heavyweight features that include American rappers Gunna and Swae Lee, with Wizkid, Pa Salieu and Keblack also joining in on Shalipopi’s run.

Other notable project releases include TML Vibez’s A Street Kid’s Diary, BOJ’s Duplicity album and Korede Bello’s EP M3GA VIBRATIONS. New singles arrive from Kizz Daniel (“Holy Romance”), and collaborations from Elestee and Ayra Starr (“On a Low”), Ciza, Mavo, Zvri, Ney the Bae and Smilo (“Shona Pantsi”).
