“AVAILABU” – Lojay

March begins with one of the first major drops of 2023. The last few months have seen Lojay build momentum through a series of single releases, including “Leader” and “Moto”. Today he releases his second EP and the first project since the successful LV N ATTN, and this one is titled GANGSTER ROMANTIC. He’s hard-hitting and sincere over the project’s 7 tracks, but one that stands out is “AVAILABU”. His delivery is infectious, much like his performance on the evergreen “Monalisa”.

“Call My Phone” – Rexxie, Ajebo Hustlers

Ajebo Hustlers write some really good songs. Rexxie taps them up to this effect to cook up their latest release, “Call My Phone”. In his usual fashion, the “Soapy” producer set the tone with an infectious rhythm laced with heartfelt, comforting lyrics. Between an uplifting bounce and smooth vocal execution, “Call My Phone” turned out to be a convincing drop.

“Designer” – Major Lazer, Major League Djz, Joeboy

A Major Lazer and Major League Djz record is sure to incite excitement. Adding Joeboy on top of that is a recipe for a top record. That was the case on “Designer” as these three came together to create a smooth, upbeat House track. Joeboy’s delivery dovetails perfectly with the mood of the song, and it’s one that will incite euphoric misbehavior on the dancefloor.

“Who Is Your Guy? Remix”- Spyro, Tiwa Savage

Spyro’s popularity has increased in recent months with “Who is Your Guy?”. The song is quite a quirky song with a catchy chorus. Tiwa Savage hops on this to give it an extra bit of spice. She shouts out all her friends, from Don Jazzy to JOWIZAZA. It turns out to be a cool remix.

“Cruel Love”

NATIVEWORLD was a great introduction to the world of NATIVE Sound System. Sholz, one half of the collective, makes his debut with a two-pack, Cruel Love/Vex. This release features artists like TAR1Q, Candy Bleakz, Somadina, Teezee, and ODUMODUBLVCK. “Cruel Love” sees Somadina and TAR1Q display good synergy, with Somadina’s performance on the chorus setting the tone for the mood of the record.
