At Ease debuts on Prime Video after a year on pre and post production runnings. Written by Stephanie Dadet and directed by Seun Richards, the feature tells the compelling story of Major Agbo (played by Asa’ah Samuel). The 35-year-old Nigerian Army veteran battles severe post-traumatic stress disorder from a bomb blast in Northern Nigeria. This leads to a downward spiral of nightmares, hallucinations, and personal loss. 

Anee Icha, who plays Lara Agbo describes her role as a heart-wrenching exploration of love, sacrifice, and resilience. Married to the war veteran, Lara must figure out how to save her husband from drawing in his misery. 

Other cast includes Odunayo Emmanuel, Rekiya Ibrahim Atta, Tony Ezimadu, Eyiyemi Olivia Rogbinyin and Keppy Ekpenyong.

At Ease is the sixth film from the First Feature project established by Native Filmworks and Michelangelo Productions.

First Feature is an initiative by Steve Gukas and Dotun Olakunri, focused on nurturing and empowering a new generation of film directors. For the last two years, the program has trained and funded 12 individuals for the production of their first feature films.

So far, the initiative has Kill Boro and A Father’s Love are also now streaming on Prime Video. At Ease joins the list of movies available to watch this October.
