Fuji, Amapiano, Hip-Hop Collide on oSHAMO's New Single “oSha-Piano”

Fresh off the viral success of his Afrobeats hit “Life of the Party,” UK-based artist oSHAMO is back with a new single that pushes boundaries and demonstrates his artistic evolution. Titled “OSHA-PIANO”,” the track marks a significant departure from his previous work, venturing into an interesting blend of fuji, amapiano, and hip-hop.

Serving as the title track for his forthcoming debut EP arriving later via emPawa Africa, the “OSHA-PIANO”
single sees oSHAMO opening up about his journey and evolution as an artist, revealing strong themes around persistence, growth, and purpose. While the song continues to embody the buzz and joy reminiscent of his last offering, “OSHA-PIANO” also sees oShamo taking a bold step sonically in the Afrobeats space as he offers a fresh sound.

This song was heavily inspired by my love for fuji, hip-hop, and amapiano, and me trying to find a middle-ground between these genres for my own music,” oSHAMO explains.

Before “Life of the Party”, I had always been known as ‘that viral guy’ on TikTok that infuses genres, turns them into a 30-second sound, but never actually drops a full song. With “OSHA-PIANO,” it is the first song I’ve created that I really feel comfortable releasing. The song lyrics speak to my journey as an artist, from not knowing what to do with my life to now finding a purpose in music”.
