“Declan Rice” smashed records within hours of its release, setting the Spotify record for the most streamed Hip-Hop/Rap song in Nigeria on its first day. Within 72 hours, it claimed the top spot on both Spotify and Apple Music Nigeria.
The song’s popularity was fueled after it garnered the endorsement of the English footballer Declan Rice himself and even earned a special remix commissioned by Arsenal Football Club to celebrate the midfielder after he moved from West Ham to Arsenal last summer.
For ODUMODUBLVCK, “Declan Rice” marks a definitive breakthrough. After honing his skills in the underground scene for years, this track validates his relentless pursuit of getting a solid spot for himself in Nigerian Hip-Hop. His achievement is remarkable, making him the first Nigerian hip-hop artist to reach the top 20 globally on Spotify since its launch.
