Nigerian Afropop star, Ayra Starr, has become the first female artist from the country to surpass 300 million views on YouTube with her global hit single “Rush.”
Released in September 2022, “Rush” quickly became an international sensation. The song earned Ayra Starr her first nomination at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.
It charted in several international territories, including Switzerland, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and was certified diamond in France. It also charted on the UK Singles Chart which makes Ayra Starr the first Nigerian lead female artist to appear on the chart.
