Ayra Starr, Seyi Vibez, Tems, Asake and Others Nominated for 2024 BET Awards

The 2024 BET nominations list is out and Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Asake, Tems, Davido, Lojay, and Seyi Vibez are all nominees.

Ayra Starr, Seyi Vibez, Tems, Asake and Others Nominated for 2024 BET Awards

It’s a banner year for Nigerian music at the BET Awards as seven talented Nigerian artists received nominations in notable categories.

 

Ayra Starr leads the pack with 3 nominations for Best New Artist, Best African Act, and Best HER for her single “Comma”.

 

Burna Boy got a double nomination in the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and Best Male Hip-Hop Artist categories. Tems also earned two nominations for Best Video Director and Best Gospel/Inspirational Song for ‘Me & U’. Asake secured a nod in the Best International Act category. Seyi Vibez is in the running for the fan-voted Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act award

 

Davido and Lojay have also been nominated for the Viewers Choice Award as a result of their feature on Chris Brown’s song “Sensational”.

 

The event will air live on Sunday, June 30, at 8PM ET/PT on the BET channel. Voting for the Viewer’s Choice Awards is expected to commence on June 6 and end on June 30, at 6:30PM PT/ 9:30PM ET.
