Davido, Nigerian Afrobeats megastar, is set to make history by headlining his first concert at the Madison Square Garden in New York City on April 17, 2024.

This concert, part of Davido’s extended “Timeless Tour” produced by Duke Concept, follows a string of sold-out shows across the world. The three-city North American arena tour will kick off with his historic performance at MSG, followed by stops in Montreal’s Place Bell on April 19 and Orlando’s Additional Financial Arena on April 24.

 “Seven years ago, I walked past Madison Square Garden and looked at it and said, ‘We gonna come back and shut this down,‘” Davido shared with Billboard. “So to be here now, able to play Madison Square Garden, in New York, one of the first cities and fans to embrace my music, at this iconic venue … it’s a dream come true.”

Davido’s headline performance at MSG follows in the footsteps of other Nigerian music giants who have graced the hallowed stage in recent years. Burna Boy’s performance in April 2022 paved the way, demonstrating the growing global appeal of Afrobeats. Wizkid’s concert in November 2022 further cemented the genre’s presence in the world’s most iconic venues.

Presale tickets for Davido’s Madison Square Garden concert start on Wednesday, December 13th. Fans who are eager to witness history in the making are encouraged to grab their tickets early, as this is sure to be a sold-out event.
