Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Faith Adewale, has been disqualified from the reality TV show following a physical altercation with fellow contestant, Sultana.

The decision was announced on Thursday, October 2, during an emergency meeting convened by Big Brother in the main lounge, where Faith was ordered to leave the house immediately. His disqualification comes only four days before the grand finale of the show on Sunday, October 5.

The clash occurred Thursday morning during a group task after an argument broke out between Faith and Sultana. Tensions escalated when Sultana accused Faith of being controlling and attempting to take over the exercise despite it not relating to his professional background. The disagreement turned physical when Faith forcefully dragged a basket containing task materials, causing Sultana to fall and sustain an injury to her ankle.

Another housemate, Kaybobo, briefly intervened to defuse the situation, but the damage had already been done. Sultana later told Big Brother that she could no longer work with Faith in the same group, citing his aggression.

Big Brother ruled that Faith’s actions amounted to violence, a direct violation of the show’s rule book which explicitly forbids physical aggression, bullying, provocation, and victimisation. He noted that while some offences attract warnings or strikes, extreme cases of violence warrant outright disqualification.

Faith now joins a short but infamous list of BBNaija contestants expelled for violent conduct. In 2019, Tacha was disqualified after physically assaulting Mercy, while the latter received strikes for provocation. Erica was ejected in 2020 after multiple strikes, and Beauty Tukura was disqualified in 2022 for repeated violent outbursts barely two weeks into the show.

This season, tagged “10/10,” began with 29 housemates unveiled over a two-day opening ceremony in July. With Faith’s exit, 20 contestants have already left the house, leaving nine to battle for the grand prize of ₦150 million.
