Tems is set to headline the first-ever FIFA Club World Cup Final Halftime Show on July 13. The Nigerian singer-songwriter will take the stage during the final of FIFA’s newly expanded 32-team tournament on July 13, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, soon to be rebranded as New York New Jersey Stadium.

The moment arrives during a banner year for Tems, who recently attended the Met Gala and appeared on the cover of Billboard. She’ll share the stage with J Balvin and Doja Cat, with the lineup curated by Global Citizen and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.

The event signals FIFA’s latest attempt to import the bombast of the Super Bowl halftime show into world football. But unlike its American counterpart, this performance has philanthropic aims: proceeds will benefit FIFA and Global Citizen’s Education Fund, launched earlier this year to raise $100 million for global education and soccer initiatives.

For Tems, it’s another symbolic nod to Afrobeats’ expanding global reach, and a reflection of how major sporting events increasingly rely on pop spectacle to stay culturally relevant.
