Eze Brume and Tobi Amusan, two of Nigeria’s top track and field athletes, became the first to qualify for the World Indoor Championships in March 2023.

The world’s top athletes will compete indoors in Glasgow, Scotland from March 1st to 3rd as part of a three-day event that aims to jumpstart their Olympic training for Paris.

Nigeria has performed admirably at the competition; Brume, who took home the silver medal in the long jump at the 2022 Belgrade edition, is the last Nigerian to win a medal.

Amusan will be vying for a medal this time to add to her collection. She was a finalist in the 60-meter hurdles at her previous competition.
