The Ayo Charity Foundation has concluded its fourth annual Elite 30 Camp, a two-day basketball clinic aimed at developing the skills of Nigeria’s young basketball prodigies.

The event, held at the American International School Lagos on August 3 and 4, brought together 30 of the country’s most promising talents.

With support from the American International School Lagos, Encore Media Ltd., and Pocari Sweat, the camp provided intensive training, scrimmages, and workshops led by experienced coaches. A notable highlight was the inclusion of Adenike Olawuyi, a renowned Nigerian basketball player, as the camp’s first female coach.

Ayodeji Egbeyemi, founder of the Ayo Charity Foundation, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the camp, despite his absence due to ongoing protests in the country. “Each year, we witness these young athletes grow not just in their basketball abilities but also in their character,” Egbeyemi said. “Our mission is to empower them to believe in their potential and strive for excellence on and off the court.”

During the two-day event, boys aged 13 to 18 engaged in intensive training, scrimmages, and workshops. At the end of Day 2, the camp proudly announced Lewis Uvwo as the MVP of the 4th Annual Elite 30 Camp. Uvwo’s exceptional performance and leadership qualities set him apart, reflecting his dedication and hard work.

The Ayo Charity Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering young people through sports and education. The foundation seeks to create opportunities for young individuals to excel in various fields while inculcating values of charity and social responsibility.
