EA Sports has once again delivered a stellar soundtrack for their much-anticipated release of FC 25, set to launch on September 27.

Known for its ability to blend music with the global game, EA has continued its tradition of featuring diverse genres and emerging artists on their platform, and this year, Afrobeats takes center stage.

One of the genre’s biggest names, Rema, returns to the soundtrack as predicted by Bounce Sports, marking his second inclusion in the game’s musical lineup.

The Nigerian sensation continues to elevate Afrobeats’ global profile, cementing his influence both in music and gaming. His previous inclusion in FIFA 23 opened the door for more Afrobeats stars to feature, and his return is a testament to the genre’s continued growth.

Shallipopi and Omah Lay Join the EA Sports Roster

As Afrobeats continues to gain momentum, two more influential Nigerian artists make their debuts on EA Sports’ FC 25 soundtrack. Shallipopi, Benin’s rising star, appears for the first time with his track “BENIN BOYS” from Rema’s 2024 album HEIS. His collaboration with Rema has already been making waves, and this latest inclusion marks another significant moment for the artist as he introduces his distinct sound to a global audience of gamers and football fans.

Adding to the excitement is Afrobeats megastar Omah Lay, who also makes his first appearance on the soundtrack with his 2024 hit single “Moving.” Known for his infectious melodies and unmistakable voice, Omah Lay’s contribution underscores EA’s commitment to representing diverse musical landscapes in their game.

Afrobeats’ Growing Influence in Gaming

Shallipopi and Omah Lay join a prestigious group of Nigerian artists who have previously featured on EA Sports’ soundtracks, including Burna Boy, Fireboy DML, Pheelz, BNXN, Olamide, and Seun Kuti. Their inclusion signals the growing prominence of Afrobeats on the global stage, as the genre continues to make its mark in areas beyond music, such as fashion, film, and now gaming.

With FC 25 set to launch soon, the inclusion of these Afrobeats stars adds another layer of excitement, making the game a must-play not just for football enthusiasts but for music lovers as well.
