This week, the conversation is dominated by blockbuster collaborations that continue to blur global music boundaries. Shallipopi’s single “Laho” has proven to be an unstoppable force; after a massive initial remix with Burna Boy, the track finds new life once again, this time with a feature from Puerto Rican superstar Rauw Alejandro on “Laho III.” In a similar vein, Nigerian veteran Kcee assembles a legendary trio, teaming up with Haiti’s Wyclef Jean and Grenada’s Mr Killa for the track, “Allota Money.”

Hip-hop also sees major showings. In South Africa, rap icon Cassper Nyovest makes his comeback definitive with the declarative single, “Guess Who’s Back.” Meanwhile, American lyricist Joyner Lucas delivers a full-length statement with his new album, ADHD 2, a sequel to his acclaimed 2020 project.

Adekunle Gold offers up the suave and confident “Coco Money,” while Mr Eazi returns with the characteristically smooth single, “Corny.” The genre’s new vanguard is also in full force, with fresh tracks from Lojay (“Tenner”), Guchi (“Your Type”), 1da Banton (“Highstar”) and others.
