Gigi Jasmine and Victory are the latest housemates to be evicted from the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) “10/10” house, as the reality show enters its fifth week following its July 26 premiere.
Longtime host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced their exits during the live eviction show on Sunday night. Victory was the first to leave, followed shortly after by Gigi Jasmine. Their departure leaves 22 contestants still in the running for the ₦150 million grand prize.
Last week, Victory was at the centre of one of the show’s most heated moments when he clashed with Kaybobo over food rules. The altercation, which nearly turned physical, stemmed from a dispute about whether Victory had the right to take fish from the freezer against the food committee’s guidelines.
Victory also made headlines in the same week after confessing romantic feelings to fellow housemate Joanna. His declaration was met with a cold response, and during her diary session on Sunday, Joanna told Big Brother she was not ready for a relationship that might derail her goals in the house.
Meanwhile, shortly before Gigi Jasmine’s eviction, Ebuka confronted her about her comments on the relationship between Denari and Doris. Jasmine had described Denari—once her close friend—as a “love puppy” because of his attachment to Doris. She explained that she felt Denari had become isolated from her and other housemates due to the budding relationship.
Victory and Gigi Jasmine now join the growing list of housemates who have exited the competition. Their departure marks the sixth and seventh exits this season, following the medical exit of Sabrina and the earlier evictions of Danboskid, Ibifubara, Kayikunmi, and Otega.
