Asake is eager to make history once again as he prepares to headline the O2 Arena in London for the second time. Just a year after his sold-out debut at the same venue, the star will return to the 20,000-capacity arena on September 21 as part of his highly anticipated “Lungu Boy” world tour.

The “Lungu Boy” world tour, launching in August 2024, is set to expand his international profile. While the complete tracklist for his album, Lungu Boy, remains under wraps, Asake has already stoked excitement with “Wave” featuring UK rap star, Central Cee, and collaborations with exciting acts like Ayra Starr, Victony, and Tems. Rumors of a possible feature with Travis Scott adds another layer of intrigue, hinting at even greater crossover potential for the album.

Asake’s sound is a synthesis of Afrobeats rhythms with modern pop elements, characterized by bouncy percussive patterns and melodic complexity. This genre-blending approach reflects his deep engagement with both traditional African music and contemporary global trends. It is central to his appeal and has set him apart in a crowded industry. His performances are renowned for their engaging and immersive quality featuring fluid choreography and a commanding presence.

His return to the O2 Arena is a feat that places him in exclusive and elite company alongside fellow Nigerian music giants, Davido and Wizkid, as one of the few African artists to headline the O2 Arena multiple times.
