Born and raised in Lagos, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, along with a certification in English for Journalism from the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a trained broadcaster from the National Broadcast Academy, Nigeria, bringing over five years of broadcast journalism experience to his craft.

 

Throughout his career, Mayowa has interviewed some of the biggest names in music, including Davido, PJ Morton, Ardee, Fireboy DML, Joeboy, Zlatan Ibile, Bella Shmurda, and many more. His work reflects his passion for storytelling, culture and connecting with audiences. Beyond broadcasting, his interests span film and TV production, books, music, food and fashion, making him a dynamic creative voice with a multi-faceted outlook.

Africa Very Special (AVS) and has led other media projects, including Culture Report AM & PM, Sing to the Bank, and The Banta Show, a live broadcast on Channel 189 DSTV.

A graduate of International Law and Diplomacy from Babcock University, Adaeze began her career as a radio and TV presenter, fronting major shows such as Drive Time with Gbemi on Beat FM and The Morning Show alongside Olisa and Osi, where she interviewed global luminaries and industry leaders.

 

Expanding her creative reach into film, she has made her mark as a producer, with credits including the acclaimed A Lagos Love Story, Saving Onome, The Betrayed, and Japa, all of which have been showcased both in cinemas and on streaming platforms. She also produced episodes of The Inkblot Meet and Greet Podcast, further demonstrating her ability to create compelling narratives across formats.

A self-proclaimed foodie, Blossom loves a culinary challenge except when it comes to spicy food. She’s got plenty of tips for food pairings and combinations that everyone should try. On top of that, she’s obsessed with herbal teas, preferring them without milk because, in her words, “why ruin perfection?”

 

Though she works in entertainment, Blossom enjoys a cozy night in with rom-coms, Yuja tea, and snacks rather than the club scene. Musically, she thrives on a variety of genres, but Neo-Soul — especially the hits from the early 2000s — holds a special place in her heart.

As an entrepreneur, she previously ran the clothing brand Shop Stud and is planning its relaunch soon. Outside of work, Chisom loves traveling and creating unforgettable memories.

 

Derek Okorie (a.k.a K.D)

 

 

Derek Okorie is a key member of the 44DB Collective, making his mark as a producer and sound engineer. His journey into music production started in GCSE Grade 10, where he discovered a passion for creating beats and melodies that resonate with listeners. KD’s commitment to honing his craft saw him skipping classes to dive into FL Studio in the ICT lab, laying the foundation for his career. Since then, he has mastered various industry-standard DAWs, including Logic Pro and Pro Tools, developing a reputation for precision and flair in sound engineering and production.

 

As the host of The Drive Time Show on Bounce 89.1FM, KD teams up with Moni every weekday from 5 PM to 9 PM (WAT) to deliver an engaging mix of music, lively banter, and traffic updates that make the commute home enjoyable. Her love for DJing started early, even though she didn’t see many female role models in the industry.

Known for her eclectic sound, she blends Afrobeats, Amapiano, Hip-Hop, and Streetpop to keep the dance floor alive. In addition to her work as a DJ, she is also an accomplished audio broadcast producer and music scheduler, solidifying her influence both on and off the stage.

She has graced the decks at RnB Night (Lagos) by 234 RnB, Whiskey With The Girls, and a wide range of events including Obi’s House, Sunday Service, Raveolution, Insert Nights, Femme Fest, Hertitude, Rooftop House, South Socials, as well as numerous private events. Expanding her creative footprint, Axara also curates her own signature experience, “Dance Dance Dance”, an event that embodies her mission to connect people through music and movement.

 

Axara brings her skills to Bounce 89.1 FM, where she spins for The Night Cap on Tuesdays and The Fire Mix Special every Saturday, delivering buzzy sets that keep the vibe alive well into the night.

 

Demi Andre 

 

 

Demi Andre is the visionary DJ/producer reshaping Africa’s electronic music scene. His distinctive fusion of hybrid beats and rhythms has earned him a reputation as a festival favorite, with show-stopping performances at Fire & Sand, RAVEOLUTION, and ACTIVITY FEST.


With a background in Psychology from the University of Ibadan and a stint at Red Bull Music Academy Lagos, Demi’s approach is rooted in empathy and intuition. He knows exactly how to tap into the collective energy of the crowd, curating sets that are both cathartic and exhilarating.
