Multi-talented Nigerian singer and self-acclaimed Sabi Girl, Ayra Starr, has released her first single of the year, “Sability”, produced by Michael “London” Hunter. In “Sability”, the Mavin Records vocalist samples Congolese Soukous musician Awilo Longomba’s “Coupé Bibamba.”
The song is a 2-minute 27-second jam that projects all the qualities Starr’s sobriquet, “Sabi Girl”, stands for and how she embodies them. But this new song is also a part of Ayra Starr’s attempt to establish herself as a hitmaker considering the success of “Bloody Samaritan” and “Rush”.
The lyric video displays the song’s lyrics against the vibrant backdrop of an animated image of Ayra Starr looking very much like a superstar.
