Afrobeats giant Davido is making waves again, this time launching a brand new record label, Nine+ Records. Partnering with global music distribution platform United Masters, Davido aims to empower a new generation of artists of distinct styles.

This partnership marks another step for United Masters in Africa, following their collaboration with Sarz Academy in 2023.

United Masters hailed the deal as a game-changer for the African music industry as it will see one of the continent’s most influential figures propel the careers of emerging artists to unprecedented heights.

Davido himself echoed this excitement, calling it a win for both established and upcoming talents worldwide. The megastar is eyeing global success, reaching beyond Afrobeats for R&B, hip-hop, and Latin music talents. With his experience navigating the scene in his native Nigeria and Atlanta and United Masters’ CEO, Steve Stoute, backing him, Davido’s set on building a musical empire.

Davido’s Nine+ Records follows the recent rebranding of DMW to DMW 2.0, where he signed Morravey and Logos Olori. The label has yet to announce its first signings, but with this team-up, the future looks bright for fresh talent looking to make their mark on the global stage.
