The 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards was presented on February 26th, 2023 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, California. The ceremony was held to honour the best achievements in film and television for the year 2022.

Everything Everywhere All at Once was the star of the night. It won the best ensemble prize and also broke records, becoming the biggest film winner in the history of the show, overtaking nearly every category. Asian actress, Michelle Yeoh, scored a big win as the best actress for Everything Everywhere All at Once — one which she recognises as monumental for all Asian movie fans. Both Yeah and her co-star, the “Best Supporting Actor” winner, Ke Huy Quan, became the first Asian performers honored in their categories.

The popular sitcom about teachers in an underfunded public school, Abbott Elementary, won the best TV comedy ensemble statue while the American black comedy-drama anthology, The White Lotus, took home the best TV drama ensemble honor. Jennifer Coolidge received the best actress in a TV drama prize for her turn in The White Lotus. The show — that is, The White Lotus — follows Everything Everywhere All at Once as the second most awarded show of the night.
