Nollywood is getting ready for another big-screen storm as award-winning filmmaker Funke Akindele announces the release of her latest movie, The Four: No One Fights Alone, scheduled to hit cinemas globally on December 11, 2026.

And if the title is anything to go by, this isn’t just another movie about friendship. It is a story about four women, one fight and the kind of loyalty that gets tested when life turns up the pressure.

Produced by Funke Akindele Network (FAAN TV) and exclusively distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, The Four moves between the picturesque Odu community and the city’s energetic rhythm.

At the heart of the story are four fierce, loyal women who find themselves fighting for the future of a young man they love. Their journey pushes their friendship, faith and courage to the limit, forcing them to discover just how far they are willing to go for someone who matters.

The movie brings together a heavyweight Nollywood cast, including Funke Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan and Wunmi Toriola.

Music and pop culture also get a seat at the table, with appearances from award-winning singer Waje, Afrobeats star Shoday, as well as Samuel Banks, Kolapo Omotosho and Ayomide Iwasokun.

Akindele serves as the film’s writer, director and producer, continuing her run as one of Nigeria’s most commercially successful filmmakers. Her previous box-office heavyweights include Omo Ghetto: The Saga, Battle on Buka Street, A Tribe Called Judah, Everybody Loves Jenifa and Behind the Scenes.

Akindele says The Four is more than numbers at the box office. She says the film explores the relationships that shape, challenge and remain with us, adding that audiences may recognise a piece of themselves in the story.
