With Q2 taking shape, it appears the Nigerian music industry is set to be packed with club bangers and hit records. Leading this week’s Fresh Out conversation is Adekunle Gold, who arrives with Fuji Xtra, the deluxe edition of his sixth studio album, Fuji.

On the latest body of work, he invites Nigerian acts, including Street-hop sensation TML Vibez, on “Shake Shake.” Heavyweight Nigerian rapper Olamide is in his Afrobeats bag as he drops his newest track, “Rock Me Gentle.” The Street-hop emblem continues to display his remarkable versatility even on the new track.

Outside of Africa, American R&B icon Chris Brown makes a grand statement as he drops his 12th studio album, BROWN (Break Rules Only When Necessary). The album features standout tracks, including “For The Moment,” a track already garnering wide traction. Nigerian-British rapper Little Simz joins the conversation this week with the release of her EP Sugar Girl. The 4-track project features talented acts, including Nigerian-London-based rapper DEELA on “Open Arms.”

Omah Lay takes the gospel of Clarity Of Mind to the Colors Studios, where he performed his laid-back, melancholic record, “Don’t Love Me.” Rising artist Ema Onigah isn’t left out as he arrives with “Chance” from his new project Item VII.
