Grammy-nominated Sabi Girl, Ayra Starr is dropping her sophomore album this May 2024.

This is fantastic news for fans who have been eagerly awaiting a new LP after the success of her debut album 19 & Dangerous.

In a recent interview with DJ Buck, Ayra Starr revealed that the album features a track with Nigerian music superstar Asake, which she describes as a “summer jam”. The album also features Giveon, Seyi Vibez, American singer Coco Jones, Aniita, and her brother Milar.

She kicked off 2024 really well with “Comma”, her first and only single of 2024 which has become a an international hit and the most streamed Nigerian song on Spotify in 2024. 

Since gaining visibility, Ayra Starr has been on a phenomenal run. Her song “Rush” was nominated for Best African Music Performance at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in 2024. “Rush” also charted in several territories, including Switzerland, Ireland and the United Kingdom, where it peaked at number 24.

Additionally, Ayra became the youngest African female artist to surpass 100 million views on a single video on YouTube, and the first to do so within five months.

She is currently the first Nigerian female artist to hit over 20 million followers on Spotify.
