Burna Boy has smashed another record, validating his status as the African Giant.

His recent concert at the TD Garden Arena in Boston raked in $1.593 million, making it the highest-grossing venue ever for an African artist in the United States. This surpasses his own previous record set at Madison Square Garden in 2022.

Selling out the 19,000-seat arena is a noteworthy milestone in his “I Told Them” tour, which has already seen massive success across continents. The tour has grossed over $11 million from just 11 reported shows, highlighting the fervent demand for Burna Boy’s live performances.

This feat is merely the latest chapter in Burna Boy’s repertoire of groundbreaking achievements. The talented music act is the only Nigerian artist to be nominated for Grammys in five consecutive years. He is also the only Nigerian artist to win the Best International Act award at the BET Awards three consecutive times (2019, 2020, 2021) and the first to perform at the live Grammy Awards show.

He holds the record for the most streamed album in Africa (African Giant in 2019) and is the only Nigerian artist to win both Best African Music Act and Best International Act at the MOBO Awards.
