Kamsy is the third housemate of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 11 to exit the house. She was evicted on Sunday night, August 16, during the live eviction show.
However, unlike the last eviction show on Sunday, August 9, that featured the dual ouster of Martins and Mercedes, this one saw the eviction of a single housemate. The decision to evict only Kamsy effectively saved Araga, who scored the second lowest vote percentage at 3.19 per cent, from leaving the house on Sunday evening.
But Kamsy, the 24-year-old from Imo State, was not so lucky, with her 2.41 per cent vote earning her the boot.
Her exit brings an end to a three-week run in the “Show Ya Sef” house. The event planner and gift curator, who introduced herself to viewers as “the plan” and someone bringing style, ambition, humour and drama to the season, survived two previous rounds of public voting before her luck ran out in Week 3. She was among a crowded list of 16 housemates nominated for possible eviction this week, alongside the likes of Abi, Araga, Barry, Bells, Gerard, Goddessa, Keivo, Nomy, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Sultex, Temi Nkem, Tram and Yusuf.
Kamsy sparked conversations on social media on Saturday, August 15, when she warned others to “fear Goddessa,” suggesting that “her ways are not straight.” It capped weeks of friction between the two, and became one of the more talked-about exchanges of her run in the house.
Kamsy- 1st of all I’ll say it everywhere, fear Goddessa.
Nomy- babes, it’s the beginning of wisdom. I could kiss Kamsy, bt I’m not a lesbian
With Kamsy’s departure, 21 housemates remain in the Big Brother house. However, not all of them are still chasing the ₦160 million grand prize. Flora and Aikou, who were named the season’s Gambit duo earlier this month, remain in the house until the finale but are ineligible to win the money, having traded their shot at the prize for guaranteed longevity in the game. That leaves 19 housemates still in genuine contention for BBNaija Season 11’s top prize as the competition heads into its next stretch.
On Sunday, Big Brother also named Sultex, who directed the dance performance that gave housemates their first group wager victory of the season, as the Most Influential Player of the Week, granting him rewards, including immunity from next week’s eviction.
