After months of anticipation, Kemi Adetiba’s To Kill a Monkey (TKAM) will premiere on Netflix this 2024. 

Since her mini-series King of Boys: Return of the King, a follow-up to the critically lauded King of Boys, fans have eagerly awaited her next project.

Adetiba and Netflix joined forces for To Kill a Monkey, a crime thriller written and directed by Adetiba herself, with production by Remi Adetiba and cinematography by Kabelo. The film is one of seven Nigerian films acquired by the platform in August 2023. It joins two other Netflix projects by Adetiba – Welcome To The Fourth and a highly anticipated King of Boys sequel.

With an all-star Nigerian cast including Stella Damasus, Ireti Doyle, Lilian Afegbai, Bimbo Akintola, Teniola Aladese, Damilola Adegbite, Michael Ejoor, Chidi Mokeme, and William Benson, expectations for TKAM are astronomical.

Folllwing a 59-day shoot that wrapped up in October, TKAM is scheduled for an early 2024 release directly on Netflix.
