What’s a Nigerian Christmas experience without the Lagos Detty December — or as we call it ‘Decembounce’ — rave? Well, stellar filmmaker Jade Osiberu is bringing all of that buzz to your screen with Christmas In Lagos. Osiberu, known for capturing Nigerian life through relatable stories, promises a heartwarming film showcasing Lagos’s Christmas magic.

Osiberu has assembled an impressive cast of Nollywood’s finest for  Christmas in Lagos: Teniola Aladese, Shalom C. Obiago, Rayxia Ojo, Shaffy Bello, Richard Mofe Damijo, and Wale Ojo. Adding to the excitement are special appearances by Ladipoe, Ayra Starr, Waje, Liya, and popular singer Adekunle Gold.

 

The movie intricately weaves the stories of Fiyin, Gbemi, and Ivie, set against a bustling December in Lagos. Fiyin struggles to mend her broken heart, firmly believing that her best friend, Elo, is her soulmate. However, her world takes an unexpected turn when Elo suddenly returns from New York, revealing his plans to propose to his secret girlfriend, Yagazie. Meanwhile, Gbemi must make a tough choice as she struggles between her current boyfriend and lingering feelings for an old flame. Ivie, a Londoner visiting Lagos for Christmas, unexpectedly finds love.
