Olamide Announces Forthcoming Project ‘Ikigai’

Just hours after his unexpected performance at Davido and Chioma’s wedding, Olamide announced a new project. This 7-track project, titled Ikigai (meaning “reason for being” in Japanese), is a welcome return for Olamide, who previously hinted at retirement after his 2023 album Unruly.

The album features collaborations with both current and former YBNL signees. Fireboy DML and Asake team up with Olamide on “Uptown Disco,” while the closing track “Synchro System” features a reunion with past YBNL members Pheelz, Young Jonn, and Lil Kesh.
Ikigai is another chapter in the story of one of Nigeria’s most successful artists.
