Two of Nigeria’s music stars, Rema and Ckay, are confirmed headliners for the upcoming Hey Neighbor Music Festival in Pretoria this December 2023.

The event’s mission is to unite communities through music and is made possible by partners like Heineken, Coca-Cola, Nestle’s Kit-Kat, and MTV. This festival will have a three-day run and promises a robust lineup of both African and foreign artists.

Sharing the stage with Rema and Ckay are South African rappers, Nasty C and Focalistic, Kenyan group Sauti Sol, and other global sensations like Kendrick Lamar, The Chainsmokers, H.E.R., Khalid, etc.

For Rema, it’s been a great year, having performed at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game and scored a massive hit with his song “Calm Down,” reaching a billion Spotify streams and a year-long Billboard Hot 100 chart run. The song also grabbed the first-ever Best Afrobeats Song award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. CKay has enjoyed similar success with his debut album, Sad Romance, doing chart numbers.

The Hey Neighbor Music Festival is one of the biggest music festivals in South Africa and promises a fusion of cultures and a live music experience to remember. The festival is scheduled for December 8-10, 2023. Tickets are available here.
