Nigerian athletes Victor Osimhen and Tobi Amusan have been recognized for their excellence on and off the field by being named to Forbes Africa’s prestigious 30 Under 30 list for 2024.
The Super Eagles striker, Osimhen (25), and track star Amusan (26) are among a talented group of young Nigerians honored, highlighting their immense talent and positive influence.
The selection process for the list is rigorous, with Forbes Africa collaborating with high-profile judges, subject-matter experts, and even past list-makers to ensure only the most deserving young Africans are chosen. This year also saw Forbes Africa partner with SNG Grant Thornton for a meticulous evaluation of candidates.

Osimhen’s performance on the field has seen him become the highest-paid footballer in Nigeria, following a lucrative deal with Napoli in December 2023.
Amusan, meanwhile, dominates her sport and enjoys the title of the highest-paid Nigerian track and field athlete globally, with numerous endorsement deals to her name.
Their achievements are a beacon of inspiration for a new generation of athletes, not just in Nigeria but across Africa.
