VVS Lagos Returns This July 2025 With Expanded Lineup and New Initiatives

VVS Lagos, Africa’s leading creative convention, is set to return this July for its fourth and biggest edition yet. This year’s theme, “Este Fuego: The Journey of the Descendants,” signals a bold new chapter, one that celebrates African creativity through music, fashion, film, art, and technology, while also pushing for long-term value and global relevance.

The 2025 experience will take place over seven days, from Monday, July 7th to Sunday, July 13th, across key locations in Lagos. It begins with VVS Conversations at Alliance Française in Ikoyi, a gathering of creatives and industry leaders exploring identity, innovation, and Africa’s growing influence in global culture. From Tuesday, July 8th to Friday, July 11th, the convention moves to BAHOUS at Federal Palace Hotel, which will be transformed into a cultural marketplace. Over four days, guests will enjoy fashion presentations from some of Lagos’ most exciting designers, as well as a visual art exhibition featuring ten of Nigeria’s leading artists.

Earlier this year, VVS hosted a press briefing and stakeholders’ meeting at Silencio by Sujimoto, giving the media and partners a first look at what’s to come.

The event, hosted by Arise TV’s Seyitan Atigarin, gathered key figures in media, government, and the creative industry to preview VVS Lagos 2025. Guests included Toke Benson-Awoyinka, Carlos Rojas-Arbulu, Yomi Adedeji, Olu Oyinsan, and creatives like Kim Oprah, Seyi UAX, and Akin Faminu. The focus was on stronger African storytelling, collaboration, and building long-term value. I.N Official and Creative Director Ifeanyi Nwune also revealed the 2025 event lineup.

One of the most exciting additions this year is the VVS Future Lab, a creative incubator created in partnership with The Good Co. It will provide mentorship and funding to young African creatives across different fields, supporting new ideas and talent. This initiative reflects VVS’s commitment to not just celebrate creativity, but to build real opportunities around it.

On Wednesday, July 11th, I.N Official, the brand behind VVS Lagos, will host a private dinner at the British Council Residence. This event will bring together designers, partners, and creatives to celebrate African craftsmanship and luxury. Saturday, July 12th is VVS Film Day, presented in partnership with AFRIFF. The event will feature film screenings and conversations with filmmakers, highlighting bold African storytelling and innovation in cinema. On Sunday, July 13th, the convention ends with the VVS Main Event, a show-stopping evening featuring runway presentations, music performances, honorary awards, and an afterparty at one of Lagos’ most iconic venues.

This year, the VVS team also announced plans to launch the VVS Gallery, a permanent space that will serve as a museum of African creativity and innovation. It’s a long-term project aimed at preserving culture and inspiring future generations.

The 2025 edition is produced by Imagination Agency, with support from key partners like Glenfiddich, Nigerian Breweries, and the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture. With new ideas, bigger platforms, and a clear vision, VVS Lagos 2025 is shaping up to be its most powerful edition yet.
