Less than 24 hours after Saturday night’s surprise evictions on Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 10, two other housemates — Joanna and Kuture — were evicted during the live eviction show on Sunday, September 21.

Long-time host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, wearing a 70s-inspired tribute look to Sonny Okosun, complete with wide-leg trousers and retro accessories, announced the latest evictions on Sunday.

Joanna, a 21-year-old model and fashion entrepreneur from Benue State, was the first to leave the house on Sunday. Her exit marked the fifteenth eviction of the season after spending eight weeks in the competition.

She was followed by Kuture, a 27-year-old sailor from Kogi State, who became the sixteenth contestant to be evicted. Like Joanna, he had also lasted eight weeks in the house. Known for his controversial tag as the “journalist” of the season — a nickname given by housemates who felt he spread too much news — Kuture brushed off the label during his final moments on the show, saying he was unbothered by perceptions about him.

Sunday’s live show wasn’t short on drama, as Ebuka put several housemates on the spot with questions that have fueled conversations among viewers. Kola was pressed about his persistent pursuit of Dede despite her reluctance, while Jason Jae defended his closeness to Joanna and dismissed claims he was policing Sultana’s movements. Joanna herself clarified that her bond with fellow housemate Faith was purely platonic.

The eviction of Joanna and Kuture followed the surprise exits of Bright Morgan and Thelma Lawson on Saturday, leaving 13 contestants vying for the ₦150 million grand prize, down from the 29 who began the season. With just two weeks left in the 10-week show, alliances, strategies, and rivalries are expected to intensify as the finale draws near.
