Africa is high up on the next stop for IShowSpeed. In one of his recent streams, the American YouTuber and streamer announced a more definitive plan for a tour across the continent, beginning this December and spanning into the new year, without revealing an exact start date.

In what will be his first time in Africa, the 20-year-old, born Darren Watkins Jr., is expected to visit several African countries for live shows, meet-and-greets, and football-related appearances over the course of one month.

Before his recent announcement, Speed had hinted at plans for Africa during a New Zealand stream in November 2024. “We’re gonna probably be in Africa for like a month. A full month. Africa is so big. It’s gonna be a lot. I can’t wait for that,” he said.

The tour will coincide with the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will be held in Morocco from December 21 to January 18, 2026. Meanwhile, Speed just completed his biggest streaming project yet, a 35-day journey across 25 U.S. states. Launched on August 28, the marathon was streamed simultaneously on YouTube and Twitch for its entire duration. The project marked a new height in the streamer’s influence and fame. If his planned African tour later in the year runs for a full month, it could surpass his European tour as his longest travel stream so far.

Speed already enjoys a strong fandom from African football fans. His collaborations with global stars like Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi, and, most recently, Nigeria’s Deborah Abiodun following the Super Falcons’ WAFCON triumph, have laid the foundation for the streamer’s long-awaited African debut.
