The second half of the year is heating up as Nigerian singer Davido officially prepares for his next era. The Afrobeats star has unveiled the title and release date for his upcoming sixth studio album. The new project, titled ORIADÉ, will arrive on July 31, 2026, exactly 15 years after his breakthrough in the music industry.

The five-time Grammy-nominated artist confirmed the release on Monday through an exclusive interview with Billboard and a cinematic teaser shared across his official social media channels. The album’s title combines the Yoruba words Ori (destiny) and Adé (crown), framing the project around themes of royal heritage and personal destiny.

ORIADÉ is a celebration of the journey that led me to where I am now. To be in a position where I can help push African music forward around the world is something I’ll never take for granted,” Davido tells Billboard.

Seeing a return to foundational elements that ignited his breakthrough, the project is set to lean on high-energy African and Afrobeats elements. The highly anticipated album is the immediate follow-up to his 2025 album 5ive, which reached a top-five position on the World Albums chart. The rollout marks a consecutive yearly album cycle for the singer, following the commercial success of his 2025 global tour.

“I hope when people hear my new album, they understand that purpose doesn’t always follow the expected path. The biggest blessings often come from betting on yourself, even when the destination isn’t in sight yet,” he further tells Billboard.

The album also arrives at a moment when the seasoned hitmaker continues to make giant strides, from his monumental Coachella debut with a guest appearance by Adekunle Gold to his headlined performance at the FIFA World Cup 2026 countdown.

While the tracklist has yet to be unveiled, it has been confirmed to feature a highly curated 13-track lineup, making it the shortest studio album in his discography. With the recently released “I Know Who I Be”, featuring JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay taking the front as the project’s lead single.
