Afro Nation, the biggest Afrobeats festival in the world, is returning to Portugal this year, presenting a lineup that features some of the biggest names in African music.

The first wave of announced performers include Rema, Asake, J Hus, Ninho, Tyla, Omah Lay, Flavour, and more. The second wave has names like ODUMODUBLVCK, Seyi Vibez, with the announcement of Nicki Minaj as the headliner. A second stage will highlight some of Amapiano’s hottest stars, including Uncle Waffles, Musa Keys, Focalistic, Tyler ICU, and Major League DJz.

Nicki Minaj, a global music icon, has consistently redefined US rap/hip-hop since her debut album Pink Friday. With accolades, including nine American Music Awards and twelve BET Awards, Minaj is the first woman to amass 100 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Afro Nation Portugal 2024 is set to take place from June 26, 2024, to June 28, 2024, at Praia da Rocha in Portimao, Algarve, Portugal. This three-day celebration of African music and culture has become a global phenomenon, uniting the diaspora through dance, food, fashion, and music. The 2024 edition will be the festival’s fourth edition, having been first held in 2019 and subsequently in 2022, with a gap of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
