Rema has once again etched his name in music history. His debut album, Raves & Roses, released in March 2022, has officially achieved RIAA gold certification in the United States, a first for an Afrobeats solo debut. This accolade signifies sales of over 500,000 units in the US, marking a pivotal moment for the genre’s global ascent.

The journey to gold wouldn’t have been complete without the meteoric rise of “Calm Down,” the album’s standout single featuring Selena Gomez. The record became an undeniable smash, peaking at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and residing on the chart for a remarkable 52 weeks. It also reigned atop the Billboard Afrobeats chart for over a year.

Raves & Roses spent 30 weeks on the Billboard 200 Chart, officially making it the longest charting African album on the chart. The deluxe version, Rave & Roses Ultra, outshone Burna Boy’s Love, Damini as Spotify’s top-streamed album.
