For all the times sharing your Instagram handle feels like more of a hassle than it should, Instagram has introduced a new feature: the Profile Card, designed to simplify sharing your account.

The Profile Card is two-sided and shareable. One side displays your Instagram handle (@username) along with a QR code, while the other side features linked profile information — bio, profile picture, avatar, links, and music — essentially functioning as a digital business card.

Adding to the appeal of visually engaging and entertaining account sharing, the Profile Card offers customisation options. You can change links, a preferred music choice, and even the background image for your QR code.

While Instagram has enabled account sharing through QR codes since 2018, the new Profile Card is an evidently improved move that provides an all-in-one glimpse into your interests and content, increasing the chances of meaningful connections compared to the traditional QR code method.

To share your Profile Card, go to your account, tap “Share Profile” on the profile banner, and either download it or share it across any digital platform to connect with new people and make friends.

The Instagram Profile Card is now available to all users worldwide following its testing feature with select creators in August.
