Asake Tops TurnTable Charts as Highest Streamed Artist in First Half of 2023

Asake has been tagged as the highest streamed artist of the first half of the year by TurnTable Charts after he amassed a staggering 240.1 million on-demand streams. Undoubtedly, Asake’s debut album, Mr Money With The Vibe, has played an instrumental role in catapulting his career to unprecedented heights. With 440 million on-demand streams in Nigeria alone, this album has left an indelible mark on the music landscape. Furthermore, Asake’s latest release, Work of Art, already has an impressive 115 million streams in the first half of the year, further solidifying his status as an unstoppable force in the industry.

 

 

Securing the second spot in the overall top artist list in the first half of the year is none other than the megastar, Davido, who garnered an impressive 211.5 million on-demand streams. Davido’s album, Timeless, made a remarkable entrance, amassing over 50 million on-demand streams during its debut week alone. It continued to dominate the charts for an impressive ten consecutive weeks, firmly establishing itself as a cultural phenomenon. Since the beginning of the year, Timeless has amassed a colossal 185 million on-demand streams, further solidifying Davido’s status as a global music sensation.

 

Not far behind Asake is the immensely talented street-pop act, Seyi Vibez, who emerges as the second most streamed artist in the initial half of 2023, boasting a remarkable 231.6 million on-demand streams.
