Davido hosted a press conference yesterday, April 18th, where he confirmed that there would be a deluxe version of his recent album, Timeless. 

Timeless is the most Shazamed album by an African artist. It set a new African record on the US iTunes Albums Chart after topping the chart, making history as the first African album to reach the No. 1 spot. It broke records on Apple Music Nigeria, Spotify Nigeria, Boomplay, and YouTube. It made history as the most first-day streams ever for an African album on Apple Music and recorded the most first-week streams in the history of Audiomack. It is the most watched album trailer on YouTube by an African artist.

Also, it has the highest number of entries on the Billboard Global 200 chart by an African artist.

Thus, the news of a deluxe comes with an even greater anticipation. However, when asked about how soon the deluxe will be available, Davido responded: “The deluxe is going to come out. People like all the songs on the album so we are figuring out how to promote all the songs on the original Timeless before moving to the deluxe.”
