The 66th Grammy Awards unfolded on February 2nd, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with Trevor Noah returning as the host.

 

The most anticipated awards, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist, saw a mix of industry veterans and rising stars take home the golden gramophones. Taylor Swift’s album, Midnights, won Album of the Year and R&B star, Victoria Monét won Best New Artist.

 

This year marked a record-breaking number of nominations for Nigerian artists. Even without any wins, their presence on the nominations list sparked meaningful conversations about the global impact of African music and its growing influence on the mainstream music scene.
