Oganigwe – Zlatan, ODUMODUBLVCK, Jeriq
This Friday is a packed one, with interesting releases across the country and continent. Zlatan released his Omo Ologo EP, adding an extra layer to an already interesting year so far for the rapper. It’s a loaded track list, and one that stands out is “Oganigwe”, fearing Jeriq and ODUMODUBLVCK. The production is born from a sweet traditional flavor, setting the stage for Big Gun and Jeriq to do the record justice. It’s one you don’t want to miss.
HOV – Rema
Rema has been hailed as the star of the Gen Z demographic on the music scene. That would explain why he named this track “HOV”, referring to his exploits as a leading act out of the continent. He glides easily on Alex Lustig’s production in typical Rema fashion, finding pockets between the record’s subtle bounce. Rema shows again why he’s one of the best around on this record.
Aquafina – Young Jonn
The jiggiest singer out right now is back with a new record, titled “Aquafina”. Young Jonn is quickly growing a reputation for great songwriting, honing his skills after all those years operating exclusively as a producer. He keeps the record interesting for long periods, and that’s one of Young Jonn’s selling points. He is incapable of missing right now.
All Eyes on Me – Niniola
The queen of Afro House returns with more sultry execution and great beats. “All Eyes On Me” is Niniola’s latest release, and it sees the singer take on smooth production to set the vibe. Niphkeys and CALTONIC set the stage for her to do her thing on this Amapiano-leaning record. Niniola shows her skills are evergreen with a top performance.
For Daddy – Mayorkun
Mayorkun’s knack for creating catchy records can not be understated. He returns with “For Daddy”, adding to an already extensive list of releases on the continent. He’s easygoing as he serenades his love interest in typical fashion. His talent is undoubted, and I’m sure a ton of people are ready for a new project release from the Mayor of Lagos.
