Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema filled the 20,000-seat Accor Arena in Paris on Saturday, June 28, 2025. This sold-out show was a major moment for his “HEIS World Tour” and highlights Rema’s growing international fame and Afrobeats’ global popularity.

The “HEIS World Tour” is a massive, 23-date global trek that kicked off in April 2025. It supports Rema’s critically acclaimed 2024 album, HEIS, which earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards. The tour sees Rema playing arenas and major festival stages across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, with stops in cities like New York (Madison Square Garden), London (The O2), Tokyo, and more, before wrapping up in Barcelona in August.

The night was enlivened with joy as Rema ran through his hits, including the ubiquitous “Calm Down.” Guest appearances from Nigerian acts like ODUMODUBLVCK and Shallipopi amplified the homegrown talent on display. The Rave Lord also made a big statement by bringing out wax figures of Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido during his song “Hehehe.” This audacious move, which he also did at his Madison Square Garden concert, shows he aims to join these top Afrobeats artists. He’s saying there’s now a “Big 4” in the genre, putting himself at the center of Afrobeats’ future.
