Tems’ “Found” Receives RIAA Certification

Tems is set to be awarded another Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) plaque for her song “Found.

Nigerian superstar and hottest global sensation, Tems, is set to be awarded another Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) plaque for her song “Found.” According to chart news website, Chart Data, “Found” has exceeded 500,000 sales in the United States, making it eligible for an RIAA plaque.

 

The single features American singer, Brent Faiyaz, and was one of the songs on her EP, If Orange Was A Place, released in 2021. The single is now eligible for a gold certification in the United States which will be Tems’ third solo certification following “Free Mind” and “Higher” (For Broken Ears) which have both been certified gold.

 

Tems has continued to receive international patronage ever since her career shot up in 2020. She remains flourishing in the spotlight through her different wins. With Future’s “Wait For U,” she did not only make history as the first Nigerian artist to make their debut  at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, but became the first female Nigerian-based artist to win a Grammy.

 

She has been nominated for the Emmys and Oscars for her writing on “Lift Me Up’ which is the lead soundtrack for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
