Jamaican athletes, including Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson, showcased their style at the 2023 RJRGleaner Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year Awards, a pinnacle event in Jamaican sports. 

 

The glamorous night, attended by dignitaries and sports personalities, celebrated the achievements of top athletes in the nation at the end of a fantastic season.

 

The RJRGleaner Award night, tagged as the most glamorous Jamaican event of the year, lived up to expectations and was attended by several dignitaries and sports celebrities.

Shericka Jackson

 

Shericka Jackson, hailed as Jamaica’s fastest woman in 2023, graced the occasion in a stunning red dress while receiving the National Sportswoman of the Year Award.

The world 400m champion, also honored that night, looked dapper in an impressive suit, expressing gratitude for the recognition as Sportsman of the Year.

 

After receiving his trophy, his heartfelt words were, “Sportsman of the Year🤗, thanks for the lov and support. This recognition on Friday night (19 January) is a testament to his hard work and dedication.”

 

Danielle Williams

 

Danielle Williams, who, against all odds, claimed the world 100m Hurdles title in Budapest for the first time in eight years, appeared in an elegant pink dress to pick up her award as the runner-up for Sportswoman of the Year.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, known as ‘Mommy Rocket,’ continued her tradition of turning heads on the red carpet.
