Israel Adesanya couldn’t help but feel proud of Francis Ngannou after his incredible performance in his professional boxing debut against world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Even though things did not work out in Ngannou’s favor in the end, he not only performed above expectations but also silenced his detractors with a remarkable performance.

Francis Ngannou, Israel Adesanya, and Kamaru Usman are united by their shared African origin and their roots in the UFC. Regarded as the ‘Three Kings of the UFC,’ these three combatants rose to prominence within the UFC as independent champions. As a touching demonstration of their constant support, Adesanya and Usman went with Ngannou to the ring for his historic matchup with Fury.

Adesanya was in Saudi Arabia to support Ngannou, along with a number of other famous people and even Cristiano Ronaldo. Drake’s hits, “Started from the Bottom” and “God’s Plan,” added to the explosive entrance of “The Predator” into the Kingdom Arena, evoking a feeling of grandeur as Ngannou, dressed in regal regalia and escorted by the great Mike Tyson, made his way to the ring.

Even though Fury prevailed in a thrilling but controversial split decision (94-95, 96-93, and 95-94), Ngannou’s strong left hand in the third round knocked Fury to the canvas and left a lasting effect. Although Ngannou got defeated Fury in the ring, Adesanya couldn’t help but feel proud of him for his heroic attempt. He posted a sincere statement on his official social media accounts to convey his feelings.
