Serie A giants, AC Milan, have made waves in the transfer market with the signing of Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze from La Liga side Villarreal CF on a five-year deal.

Chukwueze’s arrival in Milan for a contract worth approximately €20 million ($22.00 million) plus €8 million in add-ons, has created a buzz among fans and fellow players alike. But it’s his burgeoning relationship with teammate Rafael Laeo that has captured the spotlight.

Following his first training session with the seven-time UEFA Champions League winners, the 24-year-old  received a warm welcome from Laeo, who sent a powerful message on social media, saying, “@chukwueze8 welcome my bro, let’s kill them.” It was a clear demonstration of camaraderie and unity within the Milan camp.

The bond between Chukwueze and Laeo was further evident during AC Milan’s recent 2-1 victory over AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico. The duo was seen dancing together after the match, celebrating not only the win but also their burgeoning partnership on the field.

In an exclusive interview with BOUNCE, Samuel Chukwueze shed light on his relationship with Rafael Laeo and how it has helped him settle into the team. “I have friends already, Noah Okafor and Rafael Laeo. The first time I met them, they were cool and comfortable with me. They make me feel at home; I think they are the most wonderful people I have seen in Milan,” Chukwueze shared.

Swiss international of Nigerian descent, Noah Okafor, also joined AC Milan this summer from RB Salzburg and has formed a trio of close-knit allies in the dressing room with Chukwueze and Laeo.
