7  Legally Free Video Streaming Services You Should Know

Bounce has thoughtfully curated seven video streaming platforms that are not only free but also legally covered.

Music, movies, games, books—virtually all forms of digital entertainment have become commodified, and that’s not to take anything away from their producers and creators; to whom much is invested, much is expected as profit.

Regardless, Bounce has thoughtfully curated seven video streaming platforms that are not only free but also legally covered, giving you a reprieve from the pangs of conscience you get from downloading films on Telegram, using a hacked Netflix account, or using a virtual private network (VPN) to access content that are geographically out of your reach.

While these video streaming recommendations won’t give you a free pass to see the latest releases like our number one weekend movie recommendation or the most exciting releases of the month, you’ll still find a great mix of content from original productions to big-budget releases in exchange for a limited amount of advertisement.

Afroland TV

First on our list is Afroland TV, a Black-owned and Black-centred free streaming platform founded by Zimbabwean actor-turned-entrepreneur Michael Maponga in 2020.

Dubbed “Africa’s Netflix,” Afroland TV prioritises movies of all genres, live TV shows, and kids’ content from major African countries. It also unites the Black community through free video content from the United States, the Caribbean, Europe, and South America. The platform’s content is accessible via its website, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire, Android TV, iOS, Android, and many smart TVs.

 Plex TV

Boasting a solid array of networked content, Plex TV is a one-stop destination to stream movies, TV shows, and live TV for free in almost every country globally. Once you’ve created a new account, even without a credit card, you’ll have access to your universal Watchlist. Here, you can start finding movies to watch and even get recommendations on where to watch if they’re not available on Plex—all without leaving the platform.

Plex is among the most comprehensive entertainment platforms available today. It’s accessible via the web, as a mobile app for Android or iOS, a smart TV app, or on PlayStation and Xbox.

 Arte TV

Accessible for free and without the need for an account or log in, Arte TV’s programming comprises about 56% documentaries, 19% feature films, dramas, and series, 14% news-related programs, and 5% music and performing arts.

The Franco-German platform offers a diverse range of programs on its dedicated website, all subtitled to cater to diverse tastes.

 Crunchyroll

You’d love Crunchyroll if you’re an anime enthusiast! This USA-Japan platform is a one-stop destination for everything related to anime: movies, games, news, interviews, and event coverage about the latest in the industry.

While the platform is resourcefully niched, the caveat is that you’ll need to browse the site to find free content, since there is no filter for free content.

TV5MondePlus

With no registration or login required,  TV5MondePlus  is a French public channel that offers free access to watch movies, series, documentaries and children’s programs on its website.

The service is supported by short advertisements, so consider disabling your ad blocker to enhance your viewing experience.

Fawesome TV

Fawesome TV, short for “free awesome movies and TV shows,” truly delivers on its promise with a completely free service that requires no sign-up or subscription.

Just download the app for Android or iOS, or visit the website to discover a vast library of content. With over 10,000 movies and shows spanning various genres and more than 250 channels available, Fawesome TV offers an abundance of choices for your next viewing experience.

YouTube

Here’s another reason YouTube remains one of the most resourceful inventions of our time.”. Beyond being a digital reservoir for Nollywood classics, it provides a wealth of free films from around the globe.

By utilising the right keywords, you can discover content in various languages. Searches such as “full movie,” “full-length movie,” or just “full movie” will guide you to original productions, including older titles, as well as channels specifically dedicated to their streaming.
