Spotify Now Lets AI Agents Build Your Personal Podcast

The feature is open to both Free and Premium users globally, though Spotify notes that usage limits apply while it remains in beta.

Spotify has launched a beta feature that lets AI agents generate personal, private podcasts and save them directly to a user’s Spotify library. The move puts the streaming platform in the middle of a growing habit where people use tools like OpenAI’s Codex, Anthropic’s Claude Code, and OpenClaw to turn their notes, schedules, and research into listenable audio.

The idea is simple enough: instead of reading through your class notes before an exam or scanning your calendar before a busy week, you ask an AI agent to package that information into a podcast and drop it into Spotify, right beside everything else you already listen to. The content is private, visible only to the account that created it, and accessible across the full range of devices Spotify supports.

Where it gets slightly technical is the setup: getting started requires some developer tools, as users need to visit Spotify’s Save to Spotify CLI page on GitHub, follow the installation instructions, and sign in through their browser. Spotify says the feature can be used for everything from exam revision and daily planning to long-form educational breakdowns. AI agents are also able to pull information from local documents and online sources while organising episodes into chapters for easier navigation.

The feature is open to both Free and Premium users globally, though Spotify notes that usage limits apply while it remains in beta. Agents generating these podcasts can draw from online sources and local files, and the audio can be structured with chapters to make navigation easier.

Alongside this announcement, Spotify also confirmed that its AI DJ feature is now available to Premium users in additional markets, including Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, and others, with the DJ now able to speak French, German, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese.
