Giveon has unveiled the official music video for his latest single, “Rather Be,” directed by Loris Russier. The video features Giveon and his band performing in a modernist architectural setting, with Russier employing symmetry and spatial design to enhance the visual storytelling.
“Rather Be,” produced by Sevn Thomas, Maneesh, Matthew Burnett, Jeff Gitelman, and Jahaan Sweet, is a smooth, ’60s-inspired R&B track, enriched with warm horns and a retro groove. The song explores themes of vulnerability and acceptance, with Giveon expressing a preference for embracing flaws over seeking perfection in love.
This release follows his earlier 2025 single, “Twenties,” and continues to build anticipation for his forthcoming sophomore album.
